First Day Of School

I've often wondered what the big
deal was with children and
their 1st day of school.

I now understand what my mother went
through on this very day. I never knew
that it would be so hard to let your
little girl go on her very own.

I now see this is the hard part for us...letting go.
Letting someone else take it from here.
Trusting that they will teach her the things she
will need to face the world some day.

Will I ever be able to let this one go for good?
